Today, Ivoclar Vivadent has announced a new addition to the Corporate Management Team. With the promotion of Christian Brutzer to Global Region Head Asia/Pacific and his appointment to the Corporate Management Team, the foundation has been laid for the further development of the Asia/Pacific market.
Ivoclar Vivadent has performed very successfully in the Asia/Pacific region in the 2010 business year. To continue its successful market development in this region, the company has strengthened its regional presence and has invested into expanding its product portfolio.
Ivoclar Vivadent expands the IPS e.max system to include new shades for CAD/CAM applications. The IPS e.max CAD blocks are available in five additional Impulse shades, and the shade concept for the ZirCAD blocks has been completed with the introduction of the new MO 3 and MO 4 shades.
Implant-retained hybrid restorations can now be produced in the press technology – thanks to IPS e.max Press Abutment Solutions from Ivoclar Vivadent. Two different solutions involving lithium disilicate glass-ceramics in conjunction with a titanium base are available to users.
IPS Empress Direct Flow is the flowable variant of the Effect materials, which form part of the IPS Empress Direct range of light-curing nano-hybrid composites from Ivoclar Vivadent. Both consistencies are based on the same tried-and-tested chemistry. With the three new IPS Empress Direct Flow materials, the desired esthetic effects can be created with high precision when anterior teeth are restored.

Ivoclar Vivadent has equipped its press and ceramic furnaces Programat EP 5000 and EP 3000 with a series of new technological features and functions. This includes Power Saving Technology, Thermo Shock Protection and Cooling Shock Protection. At the same time, the EP 5000 has been fitted with an optimized user interface and the EP 3000 with a new keypad design.
Tetric EvoCeram, the light-curing, universal nano-hybrid composite from Ivoclar Vivadent, has undergone a comprehensive redesign. Furthermore, Tetric EvoCeram is available in three new shades. The clinically proven composite impresses users with its well-balanced composite technology.
The innovations which Ivoclar Vivadent will present at IDS 2011 will focus on the competence areas all-ceramics, direct restoratives and implant prosthetics. The IPS e.max system has been further developed, and the company will introduce a new ingot for the press technique and launch new materials for chairside procedures as well as a multimedia tool for cementation applications.
Jochen Bohner has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Ivoclar Vivadent Group. He takes up the position of Dr Erich Viertler, who will retire at the end of the year.
The chlorhexidine varnish Cervitec Plus from Ivoclar Vivadent lives up to the “plus” in its name. Cervitec Plus is more effective than its predecessor Cervitec. This finding comes from a joint clinical study between the Central County Hospital of Halmstad, Sweden, and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
