Richard Rought started his career in dental laboratory school (Syracuse N.Y.) in 1975. He developed a denture technique, Predictable Removable System “PRS” while owning a quality removable dental laboratory (1983) in Rochester N.Y. Certified Dental Technician since 1986. After selling the lab in 1997 he joined with a crown and bridge lab to become full service and managed the removable and implant departments. Training during that time in removables consisted of Tufts University, NYU and the Masaad Institute. Implant training was done at the Misch Institute. Richard presented at the Greater N.Y. A.D.A. in 2002 and 2003. Lectured for clinicians starting in 1998. Member of the American Prosthodontic Society and joined the Ivoclar Vivadent removable team as a Technical Prosthetic Specialist in 2004. In 2010 he became a Field Technical Specialist and since 2013 a Technical Consultant at the International Center for Dental Education (ICDE). Over the entire time with Ivoclar Vivadent through the present he has lectured and trained extensively, primarily in the western states and Canada, with Universities, dental labs and clinical programs. Now his primary focus is developing and presenting removable programs in both implant and dentures at the I.C.D.E. in Sarasota Florida.
